BLESSING/CURSE [attr="class","short3"]breaks everything she touches. quite literally. While the break might not be immediate – it could take up to a year for it to finally snap – anything that amelia comes into contact with through touch that is inanimate will break under her influence. Thankfully, this is a one-time deal; if her pencil snaps in two, she can tape up back up, watch the tape rip, re-apply it, and everything will be as good as new. Also thankfully, this ability is neutralized when she touches a human; of course, the same can't be said for their clothes if that's what she's bumped into. | TASK [attr="class","short3"]build a three-foot-tall house of cards. while the idea itself seems trivial, considering she is going to end up bending or ripping each individual card doesn't make this very easy. She's also terribly clumsy. The time for her to complete her task, however, has already passed her by; she could never figure out exactly what her markings were telling her to do, anyway. |
OTHER
[attr="class","tall"]● Amelia's parents were not exactly what you'd call paragons of parenthood. As long as she wasn't burning down the house or getting thrown into jail, they didn't bother themselves with what she was doing in life. Thankfully, their daughter turned out to be childish instead of a delinquent. As such, when she struggled to make it through high school and decided to pass on college, instead settling with a decently paying job at Borrowed Heaven, they didn't really seem to have any input.
● Despite the fact that she is now twenty-three, Emmie acts more like a second grader than the grown woman she is. Sure, she has a job and her own home, but her mannerisms are all rather goofy, and she's about as far from smart as the Earth is from the Sun. A lot of people at the cafe like to take advantage of this, but her co-workers are kind enough to shoo off unwanted customers who try to get discounts or are just making fun of her.
● She lives in one of the smaller, less-updated apartments in District Three. However, it is filled with stuffed animals and plushies from cartoons and anime, so I think that balances it out.
● Despite her stupidity, the brunette actually has always had a high reading level. She started reading well before her classmates in school, and while she doesn't always understand the plot, she can read books like A Tale of Two Cities or Ulysses with minor difficulty. She loves books and hates knowing that she'll break them if she touches them, though, so if she can, she'll have someone else hold the book up for her while she reads.
